2022 Clarity International Conference Organizing Committee
In March 2020, the Japan Plain English & Language Consortium (JPELC) submitted to Clarity International a proposal to host the 2022 Clarity International Conference in Tokyo. The proposal was officially approved in August 2020.
In April 2021 the 2022 Clarity International Conference Organizing Committee was established to prepare for the smooth running of the conference. With the cooperation of Clarity and JPELC, the Committee has worked hard to make the conference a success.

Established in 1983 in the U.K., Clarity is an international organization that promotes plain legal language. The organization consists of 650 members including judges, lawyers, government officials, university professors and business people from approximately 50 countries.
Clarity is committed to promoting plain and accessible legal language and legal design. It issues The Clarity Journal for members biannually to communicate guidance, research, and news on plain language and legal design from around the world.
